I first visited Mexico’s storied San Miguel de Allende last year. Established in the 16th century as a Franciscan mission, the beautiful town has been an art and artisan colony for nearly two centuries. The doors of San Miguel - portals to sun drenched residences, artist studios, courtyards and patios - especially captivated me. As a printmaker the colors, carvings and textures of these doors struck me as a perfect subject for the monoprint.
The original monoprints are approximately 18” x 24” executed in acrylic with drypoint, an intaglio method. They are mounted on board.
An artist’s limited edition of 200 archival giclee prints executed on Hahnemuhle archival rag paper image size 18"x24" are available. To reserve your print or additional information please contact me.
